Music Bio
Jill Stella Richards (B.Mus.) is a Toronto based freelance trombonist and vocalist. She graduated from Humber College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music & Trombone Performance and studied Sound Therapy in 2014 at the Transformational Arts College.
Jill celebrates and honours everyone she has performed & collaborated with including:
The Toronto All Star Big Band from 2007-2010 – The band where Jill met her husband (who also happens to be a trombone player!)
R. Kelly Clipperton – she joined the band on two tours across Canada, in 2009 and 2013.
ColinResponse – Jill travelled to Cognac France in 2013 with R&B pop soul artist after being crowned the winner of Hennessy's International Artist Talent Quest. They represented Canada and performed alongside Erykah Badu, Sinead OConnor and Wyclef Jean in one of Europe's largest festivals, the Blues Passions Festival.
Tanya Tangaq – Jill sang with The Element Choir, featuring as guests on Tanya Tagaq's latest album, Animism.
